Sorted by object, not by person. What the gift physically is, what can be printed on it, what it costs. That's the useful order when a budget has been agreed and nobody has yet worked out who the thing is actually for, which happens more often in an office than anyone admits. These eight pages are the stage called the gift itself. Is the person the harder question? Start at who is retiring, or read retirement gift ideas for the whole decision in one place.
All eight guides
- Personalised retirement gifts: the two mechanics on this site, four typed lines or a photograph, and what each takes.
- Retirement quote prints: where a quote can actually go on the print, and the 50 characters it has to fit in.
- Framed retirement art, or canvas: paper behind a frame, cloth round a 2cm stretcher, or both.
- Retirement keepsakes: the difference between a gift that is kept and one that is used.
- Funny retirement gifts: why the joke usually belongs in the card, not on the gift.
- Digital retirement prints: the version with no production wait and no parcel.
- Milestone retirement gifts: when the number of years is the whole point of the gift.
- Group retirement gifts: how the office collection is usually run, and what it reaches.
